What your donation supports

Donations support ORIVIS’s nonprofit work helping migrants, including practical information and learning through Migrant Assistant and Migrant Academy. Where a campaign states a specific purpose, that description applies to gifts to that campaign.

A donation is voluntary. It does not purchase a course, subscription or other service. These terms do not promise tax deductibility.

Amount and payment

For a one-off donation, you choose and confirm the amount in the payment flow. It does not create a recurring agreement.

For a recurring donation through Vipps, you choose the amount in Norwegian kroner (NOK) and the monthly collection date. The agreement and payment flow show the amount and timing before you confirm. Subsequent collections follow that agreement until it is cancelled or changed.

ORIVIS will not increase your chosen amount without your authorisation. Payment is processed by Vipps according to the payment agreement you approve.

Cancellation and changes

You can cancel a recurring donation at any time in the Vipps app, under your payment agreements. You can also contact ORIVIS at contact@migrantassistant.com for help cancelling. There is no cancellation fee or minimum commitment period.

Cancellation stops future collections once it takes effect. A payment already processed is not automatically reversed by cancelling. To change the amount or collection date, use the options shown in your Vipps agreement, or contact us for help.

Withdrawal, refunds and payment errors

If you wish to withdraw from an agreement or request a refund, contact contact@migrantassistant.com promptly. Include the payment date, amount and reference if available. Never send card details, BankID credentials or identity documents by email.

If a donation was collected in error, duplicated or made without your authorisation, contact us and, where appropriate, Vipps or your bank. We investigate the request, correct confirmed errors and handle withdrawal and refund requests in accordance with applicable rules.

These terms do not restrict any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.

Personal data

ORIVIS is responsible for the donor information it receives and uses. Depending on the payment and agreement, this may include your name, telephone number, donation amount and date, transaction reference, agreement status and correspondence.

We use this information to administer donations and cancellations, keep accounting records and handle enquiries or complaints. Processing necessary for administration and follow-up is based on our legitimate interests; processing required for accounting and other legal duties is based on those obligations.

Vipps processes payments and personal information under its own terms and privacy notice. Providers that support our email, hosting and accounting may process information where needed for their services. We do not sell donor information.

We retain information only as long as necessary for these purposes and applicable statutory retention requirements. You can contact ORIVIS to request access, correction or deletion, or object to processing, subject to applicable legal requirements. Complaints

Send complaints about the donation agreement or a payment to contact@migrantassistant.com. Describe what happened and include the date, amount and reference where available. ORIVIS will investigate and reply to the email address you provide.

If the complaint concerns personal data, you may also contact the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Versions of these terms

The terms presented when you approve the donation agreement apply to that agreement. We may update this page for future agreements; an update does not by itself authorise a change to your donation amount or collection schedule.
