Integration services: where to ask for help
Find local advice, language practice and community support without confusing different programmes.
Find the responsible local service
Ask the municipality or regional authority about the current foreigner integration centre, information point or project serving your area. The CIC model can bring language learning and practical advice together, but centres, opening hours and services vary by region. A national funding call for organisations is not a registration form for individual residents.
Prepare a focused enquiry
Explain what you need: language learning, employment advice, school information, healthcare access or help understanding an official letter. Bring relevant identity and residence documents and the letter or deadline concerned. Ask about registration, languages, interpretation and appointment arrangements in advance. Share only documents necessary for the service through its official channel.
Understand the service limits
Ask which advice is provided by qualified staff and whether representation or only information is included. A consultation does not submit your residence, benefit or examination application and does not pause its deadline. CIC services, asylum reception support and the PCPR individual integration programme are different systems with different eligibility; one registration does not enrol you in all of them.
Build regular local contact
Ask about conversation groups, cultural activities, volunteering and family opportunities suited to your situation. Confirm participation, age and any costs directly with the organiser. Practical contact can support learning, but does not replace a required state certificate. Keep appointments and agreed next steps, and request the correct specialist or authority when a matter falls outside the project.
