When reception support ends: prepare the next step
Check the actual end date, challenge mistakes promptly and arrange support after protection is granted.
Read the outcome and dates
The end of reception assistance depends on the protection procedure, the type and finality of the decision and any applicable exception. Refusal, discontinuance and a grant of protection do not all have the same timetable. Keep delivery dates and ask UdSC to confirm the specific last day for accommodation, money and medical assistance. Do not apply one deadline to every case.
Challenge a disputed decision
Read the reasons and remedy instructions in an assistance decision and obtain advice before its actual deadline. A complaint about staff is different from an appeal, and an appeal does not automatically preserve every form of support. Report material changes truthfully. Before withdrawing a protection application or planning departure, ask about the effects on lawful stay and assistance.
Apply for integration support promptly
After refugee status or subsidiary protection is granted, contact the competent district family assistance centre, PCPR, about the individual integration programme, IPI. The application deadline is 60 days from obtaining the qualifying protection; ask PCPR to verify how it is calculated from your decision. Applying for protection alone or holding UKR does not establish eligibility for this programme.
Plan housing and service continuity
Prepare identity and decision documents and household, address and financial information requested by PCPR. Discuss housing, insurance, language learning and other support before leaving reception accommodation. IPI is a separate application and is not automatic permanent housing. If homelessness is imminent, contact the responsible social worker and local assistance body promptly and check what is available for your status.
